Why Do Men Enjoy Being Treated Like Dirt?

Dear Ms. HeartBeat:
Why do guys enjoy being treated like dirt? I notice that I get better results with men when I put them in their place right from the get go. It seems as though they like being brushed-off, ignored, and insulted to a certain degree. Then they really start kissing butt without me even having to put out. Why is that?fighting couple

Ms. HeartBeat Responds:
Because men hate weakness in any form. And women that are too agreeable, take anything from men and beg for more, and fake nice all the time are perceived as weak and needy and desperate.  Men shrug then proceed to use those types of women for all they can get out of them, pushing the envelope further and further to see when the woman is going to grow a spine and stand up for herself.

Sadly, most are so male centered and think they are nothing unless they “have a man” that they take all kinds of crap from these guys just to keep them around. The men actually hate it.

Plus, men like to pursue, chase and conquer! They enjoy the satisfaction of working hard to achieve a goal, of being the victor and the winner. They find things that make them work and feel challenged to be stimulating and therefore of greater value when he finally gets it.

So, you don’t have to go so far as to insult and demean a guy unless he is into that sort of thing, but women should never, ever let a guy get away with anything.  Let him know from day one that there are rules to being with you and if he breaks them he is out – no questions, no conversation.

Let him know from day one how you expect to be treated and that if he doesn’t treat you that way he is out – no questions, no conversation. If he is impolite, inconsiderate, rude or hurtful, he needs to know that he has one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel which means he better watch his step very carefully from that point forward.

Let him know that any time he spends with you should be considered a blessing because you have plenty of other places you could be and plenty of other people you could be with. That way he appreciates the time you have set aside for him.

Always put a man in check from day one and he’ll know you are not one to be trifled with and you’ll have his respect.  After all, you can’t love someone you don’t respect.
