Page 2 of 2 Dear Ms. HeartBeat: I recently saw my boyfriend kissing another girl. When I confronted him, he replied that I deserved it. He said I disrespected him when I raised my voice in a course of an argument, I look thru his cell phone when he is not around, I asked him too many questions when he stays out late and he is tired of asking me to change. So the only for him to teach me a lesson was to seek comfort elsewhere. Do you think I deserve to be cheated on? Ms. HeartBeat Responds: Oh my gawd! He would not have HEARD a voice being raised or even know what disrespect was until he heard the cussing out he got from me! Tell him to use those shit talking lips of his to kiss your ass, then you never, ever speak to him again. Dear Ms. HeartBeat: Why is it that guys are so afraid of commitment? Why would a guy rather be single and have "fun" instead of settling down with a girl that he really likes? Is it really that bad or difficult for men to commit to one woman? Ms. HeartBeat Responds: I don't think men avoid commitment at all. It's just that women want a commitment from a particular guy and he doesn't want to commit TO HER. So to save face, she turns his rejection into "he is afraid of commitment." It’s easier to blame him or find fault in his behavior than it is to accept that he just isn't into her in the way she wants him to be. Dear Ms. HeartBeat: My life seems to be worth more dead than alive- $100 grand to be specific. I can't seem to find a job that pays me decently. What do I do? Ms. HeartBeat Responds: Make me the beneficiary. Dear Ms. HeartBeat: Do you think Madonna should have adopted an American child rather than the child from Malawi? And do you think her celebrity status influenced her ability to adopt that child easier, quicker, whatever? Ms. HeartBeat Responds: When I saw that story I wondered why didn't she adopt a Black child from Oakland, Atlanta, Mississippi, Detroit, Harlem or Watts? Why go all the way across the world to get a kid? Crack, Meth and Hurricane Katrina left THOUSANDS of African American children orphans, and they would have welcomed someone to love and take care of them. I think she was just showboating, just like Brad and Angelina. There are black children right here in the United States they both could have adopted. That would have been their choice actually, if their true interest was providing a good home to a Black child in need.
