I thought that was interesting as well.  The Black voter turnout in CA is also said to not have been all that large.  Bet their asses would have come out if Tupak was running.  Roll Eyes

Do you think you could try not to sound so petty...gloating like a child.  And fix that thread title.
There is still a lot Clinton machine that Obama will have to overcome, so dont get too carried away with counting chickens this early.

I have a suspicion that there is a significant number of voters who may not speak english at a high enough level to be able to understand and 'feel' Obama's speeches, so they are being heavily influenced by the Clinton NAME recognition.
The Clintons are also doing well with lower class uneducated poor folks who are just assuming that if a Clinton is back in office, we'll have the same economic situation.  They dont have the intellect to understand that circumstances are not the same this time around.

Ain't that a biznatch.. Here comes Debbie the Downer..  Roll Eyes

You gonna just ignore the black voter turnout everywhere else tho? Black folx are supporting Obama & I've hear about some voting issue in places like Oakland, etc.  Bottom line, votes were in a long time ago & Obama didn't plan to win Cali. Just to close the gap & get his share of delegates. He did much better than expected considering the initial projections they talked about.

And before I go back to ignoring your ass, I want anyone stumbling in here and reading your petty and premature gloating, to understand that you are not a typical representation of Black Obama supporters, you pathetic psycho.

Legacy... stop with the personal attacks/insults.  Attack her position or the way she expresses it, but the sophomoric name-calling sucks!

Now... as to the topic...  Have you thought of the landscape IF Hillary wins the big one and makes it into the white house?  I see the Clintons as being just petty enough - with long enough memories, to covertly make the Blacks "pay" for withdrawing their support from the "first black president"  Roll Eyes  I can see them introducing efforts that will benefit immigrants at the peril of those that have been here or something more sinister.

I dont fear any backlash from the Clintons...they would have pursued their own agenda regardless of whether Blacks supported them...and lets not forget that there are still a lot of Blacks supporting them...if that weren't the case, ole Hillary could not have wont in NY and NJ....the two wind that just saved her ass.
As for Hillary introducing legislation that benefits immigrants...even if introduced, she cant pass it w/o the support of Congress,a nd the Repubs would tie up any such legislation indefinately, on behalf of the Minute Men type who are more concerned about immigrants(than Blacks) 'taking over' their territory and affecting their way of life.
It would be a shame if Obama were to lose because of this misplaced hostility that many African Americans and poor Whites have traditionally felt towards immigrants.  Instead of boycotting the businesses that are drawing those immigrants over the border, folks go for the easier route of treating immigrants like they are supposed to see an opportunity for a better life for themselves, and just turn away from it.
A few months back when all thes Hispanics has a "sick out" day and some business like Perdue chicken had to close down the factories, why is any immigrant hater still buying their chicken?  When Walmart an other retailers were shown to be hiring illegal immigrants, why are any Blacks or poor whites still flocking to Walmart.

Fact of the matter is that there ARE a lot of "dirty" and sometimes dangerous  low status jobs that few to no Americans are willing to do, no matter how uneducated and unskilled they are....they dont want clean stinky ass toilets, clean grandma's shitty diaper, pick mushroom and tomatoes out in the hot sun all day long, having pesticides being sprayed rigt beside them...at least not for a low enough wage that makes it worth it for the farmer who is investing in that crop.  Maybe Americans do want some of the construction jobs that soem immigrants have taken, since that is not one of the more icky jobs...OK so fine, dont buy homes from builders who use a mostly Hispanic crew...if those homes dont sell, shit will change soon enough.  Point is, hypocracy aint gonna cut it...capitalism is what it is...supply and demand and profit making.

And bigmomma, do you actually think America give all that foreign 'aid' simply out of generosity?...please!  Save for charity when a disaster hits or something, ANY country that gives aid, do so to maintain beneficial alliances and to further its own agenda and ideologies.  Lets not be naive.

Go back into your cave. I was the one on here tellin' y'all to support Obama while you & a lot of other BW were on the fence just because Hillary was a woman. Secretly, you're probably still pulling for Hillary even though she & the "black president" completely disrespected black folx by using the race card.  Roll Eyes Need I remind you that when our ancestors were in shackles, your gender didn't matter.

Now that Hillary has shown her true colors ( & ppl are over that stupid shyt about Bill being the "black president" -  Roll Eyes ) let this be a lesson to ALL OF Y'ALL trying to form alliances as if race doesn't matter.

As usual, I'm right. You're wrong. Get mad....   Angry and.. that's right. CRY!  Cry

Well, for what it's worth, both Clinton and Obama have supported bills that would give amnesty to illegal immigrants (and McCain, of course, practically led the way on a few of them).

All of us might as well let this one go. Mexicans aren't going back to Mexico whether we like it or not. The globalist (capitalist) have their agenda & they need cheap labor. NAFTA (signed by Clinton) got the ball rolling.  This is *not* our grandparents America. Things are going to change.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Billary runnin outta cash. Obama raised 5 mil in ONE DAY!!!

SUPPORT HIS CAMPAIGN!!

Some Clinton staffers going without pay

Campaign faces cash crunch as Obama continues to raise money

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23037431/

NBC News and news services
updated 8:11 p.m. ET, Wed., Feb. 6, 2008

WASHINGTON - Some of Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign staff have voluntarily chosen to work without pay this month, NBC News confirmed Wednesday.

Super Tuesday's mixed outcome has set up at least four weeks of frenzied delegate hunting for Clinton and Barack Obama, pitting his well-financed all-terrain campaign against her big state strategy.

Clinton faced a serious cash crunch going into Tuesday's multi-state vote due to overspending in Iowa, a source within the campaign told NBC News. Staffers blamed campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle, who was among those working for free, the source said.

Clinton acknowledged Wednesday that she loaned her campaign $5 million late last month as Obama was outraising and outspending her heading into Feb. 5 Super Tuesday contests.

Buoyed by strong fundraising and a primary calendar in February that plays to his strengths, Obama plans a campaign blitz through a series of states holding contests this weekend and will compete to win primaries in the Mid-Atlantic next week and Hawaii and Wisconsin the following week. His campaign raised $3 million Wednesday in online contributions, a source from the Obama campaign told NBC News.

Focusing on Ohio, Texas
Clinton, with less money to spend and less confident of her prospects in the February contests, will instead concentrate her efforts on Ohio and Texas, large states that hold primaries March 4 and where polling shows her with a significant lead. She even is looking ahead to Pennsylvania's primary April 22, believing a largely elderly population there will favor the former first lady.

Clinton's personal loan illustrated her financial disadvantage and her desire to pick her targets with care. On Wednesday, she sent out an e-mail appeal to donors Wednesday seeking $3 million in three days — an effort, that if successful, would match the fundraising rate Obama averaged for the entire month of January.

"I loaned it because I believe very strongly in this campaign," Clinton told reporters Wednesday. "We had a great month fundraising in January, broke all records, but my opponent was able to raise more money and we intended to be competitive and we were."

"And I think the results last night proved the wisdom of my investment."

Both campaigns claimed bragging rights for their Super Tuesday successes Wednesday while acknowledging it could be weeks or even months until either candidate has amassed enough delegates to win the party's nomination.

Obama won 13 Super Tuesday states while Clinton picked up eight and American Samoa with New Mexico left to be decided. Both camps claimed a small delegate lead, but an analysis by The Associated Press indicates there were still many to be counted.

Obama's fundraising wave
"We are going to try and contest every contest, and win as many delegates we can," Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said. "If you look at the next month, we have a lot of confidence that we will hold the pledged delegate lead."

Obama, riding a wave of fundraising both from large donors and small Internet contributors, raised a stunning $32 million in January. Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe said last week the Clinton campaign raised only $13.5 million for the month. The $5 million loan was in addition to that amount, Wolfson said.

Clinton advisers were stunned by Obama's January fundraising and have marveled at his ability to raise small-dollar amounts from a vast field of donors.

"We will have funds to compete," chief Clinton strategist Mark Penn said, "but we're likely to be outspent again."

The Clinton camp was eager to take the luster off of Obama's status as a "movement candidate" who has generated unprecedented activism and fundraising through the
Internet. Clinton strategists went out of their way to label him an "establishment candidate" and worked to pitch her message to online activists.
