What reasons can you think of would a married woman want to fake a pregnancy?

Last year she claimed the egg had been fertilized, but that it didn't "take" and that a blood test revealed this.  I'd never heard of such a thing, and since I work at a medically-based fitness center, I moseyed on over and asked one of the OB/GYN specialists.  He looked at me like I was crazy and said there is no test to show if an egg had been "fertilized" unless it was in a petri dish.

Okay!

So now she claims she is 7 weeks pregnant and went to have an ultrasound and has a photo printout.  I've seen the same things online on various websites so I cannot say for certain that what she is showing is really HER ultrasound, ya know?  She also claims she is spotting.

I am scratching my head wondering why all this drama.  What is your take on it guys and girls!?

My first take is that her husband is threatening to leave her if they don't have kids soon. She doesn't want kids but doesn't want to tell her husband that, so she's faking it so he will get off her case but still stick around.

My second take is that one of her friends is pregnant and she wants to be too but can't get preganant, so she's trying to keep up with the Joneses by pretending to be... she will get all the same attention and then the sympathy too when she suddenly very suspiciously miscarries. Cool

Whatever the reason... she's nuts. Huh
