So I say this: If a dude is new in your life and you aren't sure about him yet, make a pot of chili or spaghetti or something lightweight.  Tasty, filling, home made, but inexpensive and not really a lot of work for you.
He can't get my spaghetti or chili.  I take up too much time to make those dishes good and they aren't simple when I make them.  Nope if he's new and I'm not sure, we're eating out, or he may get a turkey or ham and cheese "samitch".Cheesy  I like what Tran said about saving the cooking until they are worthy.
