I've got a little weekend get away planned for me and my wife..We'll be hitting the road in a couple of hours..With Valentine's day being on a Saturday this year it's the perfect time for a nice little romantic road trip..

Unlike a lot of cats, I've always liked Valentine's day..My dad is big on giving flowers year round and I'm just like him..Stargazer lilies are Nita's favorite flowers..

The candy will be the sticking point..While my baby loves Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies, she ain't feelin' American chocolate candy for some reason..The only exception was when I got her some chocolate from The Chocolate Tree in Beaufort, SC that one time..Unfortunately, they must have changed the recipe or something cause the next box I bought from them was not up to the Nita chocolate standard..

Nita and I always go round and around on candy this time of year..Growing up in the UK, she says that British candy is second to none..I of course, have tasted UK candy and I say it's nasty..And not nasty in a good way.. Cheesy

So, this year after talking with my friend in San Diego, he suggested I buy her some Hawaiian chocolate actually grown in Hawaii  Cheesy..I sampled some, it's pretty good..We'll see what Nita thinks..

Happy Valentines CB to you and Nita.   I hope that you two have a wonderful getaway.  Since I have Monday off (President's day),  my SO and I are heading to the Pocono's where his family has a home.  We are going to attempt some skiing. It's been a while and I'm not a skier, I've gone cross country a few times, but never downhill.
Nita is right in that some companies did change their chocolate recipe.  They replaced, cocoa butter with vegetable oil.  I think Hershey came under fire last year for doing this to some of their chocolate products.  "Chocoholics sour on new Hershey’s formula"
