I've been having an ongoing debate with a group of men on another site that claim the Black community is in a shambles because Black women won't close their legs and keep having sex and babies by lying, no good Black men.  Their claim is that the reason there are high rates of prison inmates, drop outs, single parent homes, unemployment, drug addicts etc. is because Black women don't have standards when it comes to men.

They claim even if a woman was with a man for years and he suddenly becomes addicted to drugs, cheats, or starts beating her or doing whatever, that it is still her fault because "she should have known he was no good."  They use biblical scriptures to shore up their position even while saying that since women are the deciders of who gets to live and who doesn't, it is a woman's job to get an abortion if the man is the sorry sort, or and won't use a condom.

My stance is that not one person walking this planet got here without the involvement of a male. NOT ONE. That means for every pregnancy a male had at least a 50% involvement in making it happen.  I say at least due to the fact that most of the teen pregnancies involving minor CHILDREN under the law have been created by adult males over the age of 18.  That makes these girls rape victims, not willing adult sex partners with the legal capacity to make intelligent choices about much of anything.  So if you count rape victims, male responsibility for pregnancy climbs to more like 70%.

I tell them repeatedly that I am tired of hearing them run their mouths and complain about what Black women don't do right, don't do enough, do too much of, etc. I demand that they get off their complaining asses and DO SOMETHING. THey want to lead and use the Bible as an example of how men are supposed to be the head of something, then LEAD MOFO!  Stop talking and get busy DOING.  They ain't trying to hear that though. It's easier to sit around at home on your butt spreading messages of hate and animosity towards Black women all over the web and Blogtalkradio airwaves.

So I have to ask you, who is to blame when it comes to the Black community experiencing these problems? Where are all these sorry ass men coming from that these fellas reference?  Why is it that these guys do not want to assign any responsibility to Black men for what has happened with their women and children the past 50 years?

Why are Black women the scapegoat for the ills of the Black community and the shambles that is Black male/female relationships?

They claim even if a woman was with a man for years and he suddenly becomes addicted to drugs, cheats, or starts beating her or doing whatever, that it is still her fault because "she should have known he was no good."  They use biblical scriptures to shore up their position even while saying that since women are the deciders of who gets to live and who doesn't, it is a woman's job to get an abortion if the man is the sorry sort, or and won't use a condom.

Now, I didn't see any passages in the bible that says a woman is responsible for a man's behavior..And what scriptures are they reading that say it's okay for a woman to have an abortion? These modern day "Christians" do use the bible to justify all sorts of behaviors..These same folks will say that abortion is murder and wrong, but won't contribute one thin dime to the social programs to help women with children raise and feed them..No wonder so many people are leaving churches..

But they are right when they say that a woman shouldn't deal with a man that won't use a condom..In today's world that's not only naiive but very dangerous health wise..Ladies, just say no to that brother..

People do change--sometimes not for the better and the damage that is caused can be life changing..You can't be held responsible for what a fully grown up person decides to do with his or her life..You can only control you(bad English I know but it's true)..Truth be told there's more than enough blame to go around for both sisters and brothers to be held accountable for..But you have to say that sisters do have it rough..

If a sister has high standards for the men she dates, she'll be called a "gold digger"..If she's willing to overlook a man's past and give him a chance, she'll be accused of being a woman who loves roughnecks..If she says she's willing to date a good man no matter what race he is, she's a sell out..Black women can't win..It's no wonder so many sisters are angry..

But the solution, in my opinion, is a return to the old fashioned way things used to be done in our community..That means women, children and our elderly are to be PROTECTED AND NOT EXPLOITED..Any "man" that proves to be a predator in any shape or form will be dealt with Old Testament style..That would put a stop to all the nonsense..
