I know he isn't a  black actor, but dayum if I didn't enjoy his body of work!  I truly hope that he is resting in peace now... dying of cancer is a painful way to go...

Wow, I'm sorry to hear he's gone. I was a fan of Swayze too.  It doesn't matter that he wasn't a black actor either.  Some of my favorite actors aren't black.  I cried like a baby when Paul Newman passed away. Cry I'd like to think that when people pass away, their spirits are free and far from 'resting in peace', they are soaring, doing what they did in life but on the other side and taking it to a whole other level as only one can when the spirit is free from the confinement of the body.  Swayze is dancing, as are many others.  Patrick died at the same age as his father did at 57.
Man what a year 2009 has been!!  A lot of well known people have gone on before us. Cry

He fought a long and hard battle,  Sad this HAS been a hard year losing so many great individuals and I say that vs referring to them as actors/stars because for me what made them so special was I felt I did get to see the "human" side of these folks outside of their element and talent, may he RIP.
